Wiry twining or prostrate sub-shrub. Leather dark green egg-shaped to lance-shaped leaves with network of veins, paler below, 2-10cm x 0.5-6cm. Deep purple with green center pea flowers in large sprays of 20-40 flowers, massed along branches. Very showy scrambler that will lightly twine over shrubs and on trellises or remain flat.
