Common everlasting

​Compact to slightly spreading erect perennial aromatic herb, stems sticky, rising from underground rhizomes, covered in silky white cobweb of hairs flattened to the stem. Sticky narrow to oblong leaves, grey-green, densely silky-hairy on both surfaces or below only 2-50mm x 1-4mm. Very variable in size, shape and texture. Bright yellow dense clusters of small daisy flowerheads at the ends of stems.
