Matted Flax Lily

Tufted mat-forming perennial spreading from extensive, slightly fleshy underground stems. Narrow tapering grey-green leaves to 40cm, often dull crimson at base, margins and midrib with small irregularly spaced teeth. Flowers pale to deep violet, anthers pale yellow with orange base. Small loosely-branched flowerheads of scented flowers on slender stems 20-90cm high. Fruit small, round, white to dark blue berries.
